I Need Help!

Greetings all,
Just attended my first Dads group with Mike last night at the greenbank farm. It is a great relief to not only know there are other Dads in similiar situations, but to be able to sit with them, face to face, and have an open and honest discussion, without the disapproving looks I usually get from others.
I am finding more and more resources and support everyday, and for that my wife...

I Need Help!

Hi Curtis,
Sorry, I'm not a dad but a mom but these dads tend to put up with me.

Just in case...Are you hooked up with Training Resources in Partnerships (TRIP)?  If not, you might want to drop their coordinator (Barb) a line: onedayatatime2001@msn.com.  They serve your area.

I Need Help!

Thanks for the tip Sandy, actually we have been in contact with Barbara, she has been a point of support for Diane and I.
We will be attending her support group this Wednesday, here in Oak Harbor.
We are hoping to find someone interested in the "reciprocal respite" idea there, maybe....
Fingers crossed, we have got to get a break soon.

That recipricol arrangement works well.  When I facilitated a support group, we did that (our thought was that it took advantage of the "honeymoon period" that kids go through).  It also worked well for homework---kids do want to show off so homework gets done much more quickly!  Glad you're hooked into TRIP!!!
